Step 3: Prepare the Hydro Dip Film

1. Cut the hydro dip film to size, leaving about 10cm of extra material around the edges to account for movement in the water.
2. Identify the side of the film that should face up. To check, wet your fingers and pinch a corner. The sticky side is the one that goes down in the water.

1. Fill your container or tank with water at around 25–30°C. The temperature is critical for proper film activation.

Step 5: Activate the Film

1. Place the film on the water’s surface with the correct side facing down.
2. Let it sit for 1–2 minutes to soften and flatten out.
3. Spray the activator evenly across the film. This dissolves the film into a liquid ink layer, ready to bond to your object.

Step 6: Dip Your Object

1. Wear gloves and hold your object at a slight angle.
2. Slowly submerge the object into the water, allowing the film to wrap around its surface. Move steadily to avoid trapping air bubbles.
3. Once fully submerged, gently rinse away excess film with clean water.

1. Let the dipped object dry completely.
2. Apply a clear coat to protect the design and give it a glossy or matte finish, depending on your preference.
